Welcome, AORN New Orleans Exhibitors!
We are excited to welcome exhibitors to AORN New Orleans! We know you are going to be busy connecting with your peers during the conference, so to alleviate a little decision-making we prepared a list of five of our favorite healthy restaurants near the convention center for you to try. These restaurants have the fuel you need to keep up during busy days. If you decide to try one out let us know what you think!
1.) Two Chicks
Two Chicks is a favorite of ours for lunch meetings. The restaurant serves breakfast all day, filling lunches and fresh-pressed juices. Luz’s favorite juice is the Iron Chick! Two Chicks’ hours are Tuesday through Sunday 7 A.M. to 3 P.M. and it closes on Mondays.
2.) Carmo
Taking inspiration from Southeast Asia, West Africa, the Caribbean and South America, Carmo’s menu is not only fresh and eclectic but also emphasizes sustainable relationships with local farmers. The restaurant offers fresh soups, salads, and sandwiches for lunch and a more expansive dinner menu and opens on Mondays from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M., Tuesday through Saturday from 9 A.M. to 10 P.M. and closes on Sundays.
3.) Green Goddess
Green Goddess is known for vegetarian and vegan dishes but also offers meat options like the BSLT (pork belly, shrimp, lettuce and tomato on French). The magenta hue of the beet hummus dazzles and sides like pickled mirliton slaw and creole kale compliment any dish. Green Goddess is hidden in a tiny French Quarter alley but worth the trek from the convention center. The restaurant opens from 11 A.M. to 9 P.M. Wednesday through Sunday.
4.) Pulp and Grind
Where are my juice-heads at? Pulp and Grind offers your choice of house-made cold-pressed juices and a coffee bar. Perfect for people on-the-go, Pulp and Grind’s juices are filled with nutrients that give you energy. The shop is open from 6:30 A.M. to 5 P.M. Monday through Friday and 7 A.M. to 3 P.M. Saturday and Sunday.
5.) The Daily Beet
The Daily Beet is a vegetarian restaurant in the Central Business District. The restaurant offers salads, grain bowls, avocado toast, and more. They even serve made-to-order smoothies like the Blue Dream (blueberry, pineapple, mango and banana). Check them out every day from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M.
We hope these suggestions help you find somewhere tasty to eat during your stay in New Orleans. Fuel up at a local restaurant, strut your stuff on the trade show floor, and have some fun! Happy exhibiting!
