Our client, Tempest Storm Rental, desired a 40×40 outdoor display space for The Utility Expo in Louisville, Ky. They wanted a unique, recognizable presence and an area to showcase their brand while staying true to their core message. This outdoor display needed a setup to be transported in the back of a 16ft long, 4ft wide truck, emphasizing efficiency. It was planned to shift the red swirl to the Tempest green color to align with their rebranding efforts. The transition for the swirl also needed to be seamlessly integrated into their Expo presence. Since the event was outdoors, the client required a large covered area or branded tent to provide shelter and enhance visibility. The challenge was to balance their branding transition with the need for a distinct outdoor space.
Design & Implementation
With this outdoor display, we introduced a custom inflatable tent ideally suited to create a standout presence for the outdoor event. This inflatable structure provided ample space and withstood various weather conditions. We utilized sandbags strategically to secure the setup against wind and other elements, ensuring stability.We introduced an inflatable dancer that captured attendees’ attention and added visual interest to the space for a touch of uniqueness. This eye-catching element entertained and aligned with the Tempest brand’s dynamic spirit. In addition, we designed a branded barrier to define the Tempest Storm Rental area, ensuring a clear and recognizable boundary. This barrier served functional and promotional purposes, enhancing brand visibility and marking a distinct presence at The Utility Expo.
The event saw an impressive turnout, with a record-setting gathering of over 21,000 utility construction professionals from all 50 states and 60 countries, with an estimated 300 attendees visiting their booth alone. The booth’s vibrant and distinctive look and feel on the outdoor floor garnered substantial attention, setting them apart from neighboring exhibits. TSR stated, “Clients expressed their overall satisfaction with our booth and the event coordination.” The branded barrier graphics, clearly visible from a distance, enhanced brand visibility. The inflatable dancer added personality to their booth and became a focal point for attendees, encouraging extended conversations. Our commitment to sustainability was seamless with the execution of their setup. In summary, the presence of TSR at The Utility Expo was a resounding success, marked by increased brand visibility, client satisfaction, and efficient use of resources.
